A
dvantages of the underslung camera over front (nose) and side mounted.

Having a clear 360° pan enables the helicopter to remain in forward flight which is its most stable flight attitude. Without a
360° pan the helicopter would have to fly sideways and even backwards to keep the camera trained on the subject that is being flown past or over. Although possible, the attitude changes that the helicopter would have to make to maintain directional momentum is ultimately detrimental to the shot.

The camera head is capable of tilting down beyond the vertical, this coupled with the uninterrupted 360° pan makes it possible to film direct flyover shots where the camera remains on the subject throughout the approach, overhead and departure.
